280 E Center St, Logan, UT 84321
Merlin Olsen Central Park is Logan’s flagship green space—an 8.1-acre urban oasis that honors local legend Merlin Olsen while serving as a vibrant community hub. Formerly known as Civic Center Park, it was renamed to celebrate Olsen’s legacy as a football star, actor, and philanthropist.
The park features well-maintained walking trails, multiple playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, and even beach volleyball—making it a versatile destination for recreation and relaxation. A gentle creek winds through the park, adding a tranquil touch to the landscape, while shaded picnic areas and a large pavilion invite gatherings of all sizes.
Merlin Olsen Park is also home to public art, seasonal events, and the annual Cache Valley Cruise-In, a classic car show that draws thousands of visitors each summer. Whether you're jogging at sunrise, hosting a family picnic, or attending a community celebration, this park offers something for everyone.
Its central location makes it easily accessible from downtown Logan, and its mix of open space and mature trees creates a welcoming environment year-round—from sunny strolls to snowy walks in winter
